i know a lot of you guys have been having the darndest time bleeding the clutch slave cylinder without having a pressure bleeder.. but i figured out a possible reason for this..
i sorta came across this scenario last night as i was bleeding the sytem, no matter how many times i press the pedal the fluid level wasnt going down!
eventually i figured out why, the clutch return spring/release bearing/adjuster rod thing was pushing the slave cylinder piston ALL the way into the slave cylinder effectively plugging the inlet... SO i adjusted the pivot all the way to the base of the threaded rod, and started pumping.. low and behold, fluid started coming out and i went through a quart of brake fluid just like that!, then i readjusted the pivot and hopefully its where it should be... ill find out in a week or so when the x is back on the road!:nana:
