Can we tone it down with political posts please?

Lately some have ventured in here with interesting posts that have nothing at all to do with politics. I would love to have this continue and grow, and bring some diversity back to this area.

There are other places to discuss politics until you are blue in the face. NFC should be accepting, not adversarial.

There are certain people who take this to the personal and adversarial level. Others are able to politely discuss.

Apparently a polite request only seems to last a few days. I've allowed a great deal of latitude for politicking from ALL viewpoints here but, once again, it seems too much freedom has degenerated into trolling, name calling and other worthless posts. If that continues, political threads will be deleted without warning and bans will imposed.

Yes, I'm that serious about keeping NFC under control.
