This morning I pressed in the clutch pedal when starting the car. With no resistance it depressed all the way back and stayed there. I manually pulled it forward. When pressing the pedal the second time, it did the same thing. Gave the master cylinder a quick look. It looked fine (I really wouldn't know, though). Checked slave. The rubber tubing is old and cracked where it connects to the metal piping that goes to the master. The rubber tubing didn't appear moist at the crack, but there appeared to be fluid under it and below the slave.
I'm hoping that if I replace the rubber tubing and bleed the system, that that will fix the problem.
I would like all the input out there.

If there is fluid under your slave cylinder, the fault is probably either the hose or the clutch slave. I would recommend replacing both. The clutch slave is cheap.

I suggest remove the slave cyl, inpect it internally for scores/rust etc, if OK hone it out carefully and fit new seal kit, and bleed system.
