what

you would do is cut one of your hoses they recommend the hot in by the radiator it's like you cut and mad two halves but your coupling them back together with the coolant filter.the reason for putting it before hot water gos in to the radiator is to catch all the particles before it can get into the rad and clog it up.

Search eBay for "Inline Coolant Filter Universal"...
They'll pop up with a price between $39 to $49 bucks.
 
A lot cheaper to just...

...drop a cow magnet into that plastic overflow tank. Easier to change out, too!

(Sorry -- my sense of humor was strongly influenced by attending CowPoly in San Luis Obispo many, many years ago.)
 
that screen seems way too big to grab anything serious. I wouldn't waste your money

spend your money flushing the system and using distilled water.
