I think the answer is "it depends" and for any particular head, unknowable. Alloys are chosen for manufacturability and given the heads were made for a very long time and during a period when alloy heads went from uncommon to normal as the production process and alloy compositions were improved, I reckon that there would have been multiple alloys used and several generations of casting tech too.
