Not handy (I'm at work right now) but when I get home I can measure the one on my '81 and compare that to the one I had custom made for my '87, along with the custom made "test pipe" for that car...
Couldn't find my custom cat or the test pipe (they're in a box somewhere!) but I was able to crawl under the '81 and measure the stock cat as mounted. It's 16-5/16" from flange to flange. Hope that helps!
