This is what I used

B-Quiet "Brown Bread" The stuff really works well. I bought the 50ft roll ($130) and completely lined my X, my truck, and the doors of my wife's car and still have plenty left over for my kids cars when they learn to drive in 13-16 years!

I used it on the fire wall too

When the engine compartment insulation fell apart, I installed this stuff as a replacement (when the engine was out). It has worked out great and has held up to the heat very well. I did have to cut off the insulation holding lips on the strip under the window and around the dizzy access panel for it to look right with the thinner "B-Quiet" matting.

thank you

I have ordered 50 square feet of ultimate.
hope will be enough to put it in my all 3 cars :)
thanks for the tip !!!

After installing Dynamat/or equivalent, did the noise floor improve? I'm looking to quite down the road noise and engine sounds.

Love the car, but you have to shout in order to be heard in that car.

It's still pretty loud in my car

with the dual 40's screaming in your ears. No amount of sound proofing is going to fix that! LOL I'm sure with the windows up and the top on the sound has been quieted, but I'm rarely in it without the top off and the windows down.

But the car does sound much more solid.
