F/S: Misc. Early X1/9 Parts

Jeff Stich

True Classic
I have a few early-model X1/9 items currently for sale:

1974-78 X1/9 engine bay gravel/splash shields: Right & left side metal shields, each fits in the inner wheel arch on each side of the engine bay. The driver-side shield is the smaller one of the two shown, the passenger-side shield is the larger one with the additional bottom/side shields for the alternator. Good condition overall, media-blasted to clean bare metal & ready to paint, includes a few of the original shield-to-car body mounting bolts, as shown (they're often missing). NOTE: The right-side engine shield also fits later X1/9 1500 models, but the left-side transmission shield will not, due to interference with the 5th gear housing extension. $40/set, or available separately at $15 for driver side (small) or $25 for passenger side (large).

1974 X1/9 emissions/tune-up specs ID plate: This alloy ID plate is normally found riveted to the underside of the engine lid, on the passenger side of the rain tray part of the lid. Good condition overall with some slight fading & some minor black paint overspray (seen on lower center & upper left areas). $10.

SOLD - 1974-75 X1/9 Carello right (passenger-side) front turn-signal lamp: Fairly good condition overall; some light pitting in the chrome finish (mainly on the bottom edge), some paint overspray on the sides of the lens & the front perimeter edges of the black rubber wiring boot, where the boot meets the chrome housing. $40.

SOLD - 1974-78 X1/9 headlight switch: Switch is in good usable condition with crisp rocker action (snap), but the 2 lower retainer tabs on the back of the switch are broken off, causing the switch unit to jiggle a little within the outer housing when you press on the switch (to turn it on/off). It looks like a previous owner found a "remedy" for this by simply wedging in a small piece of cardboard to act as a shim between the switch body & the outer housing - seems to work fine that way. I've tried to show this in the detail photos, & leave it up to you to decide if this is acceptable to you or not. :wink2: $10.

Interested in pair of front signals...

If the deal on the one side falls through, please let me know. Thanks

CORRECTION - Shields still available!

The set of engine bay shields had been sold via eBay, but unfortunately I ended up with a :censored: Non-Paying Bidder for that auction. :mad2:

So, for those who had previously PM'd me expressing interest in the shields, they are still available! :italia:

Part received, thanks

I got the turn signal today, it looks good. Thanks for quick shipment and secure packing.
