I hopped over to the show on Saturday. I wasn't feeling very sociable - sorry for not seeking some of you guys out and saying "hi".
Matt's honda conversion was inspiring. As far as I'm concerned, that car was the highlight of the X1/9 field. It's a rare thing to see that level of modification done so cleanly. Often the things we don't see (lack of hanging wire ends, ugly brackets, etc) don't get appreciated when they are absent.
My respect and gratitude goes out to everyone who took their car and made the event possible.
