[FONT=Trebuchet MS, Verdana, Tahoma, Arial]<!-- google_ad_section_start -->Have you checked the engine sensors? Could have a short or really corroded. Just use sandpaper to clean. This may sound goofy, but unplug a sensor and try to start it. Keep unplugging and starting till something works. After I replaced my injectors my 87 would not kick in and run. Needless to say I thought I really messed something up. I did this "trick" and the sucker would run with stuff not connected and die when plugged in. In my case it was the Coolant temp sensor. I ran it without it connected till it died. Re-attached it and the car ran fine. Why??? I don't know, but it works properly now.

Seriously, sorry yur still having problems... wish I could be up there to lend you a hand.
I did review all you wrote and firstly, hope you find it today... but if you don't...
I did not see where you mentioned you swapped out the ECM. (Find a brave soul to lend you theirs... my friend Mr. Zucker has a source fro about 35 bucks used.)
That's the only other thing I can think of... OH... my alternator has two leads... one goes to the starter solenoid and the other to the insrument panel and the battery... I'll send ya drawing if ya need it.
