looks like they just blasted them and painted them with a rattle can. didn't even machine down the curbing marks. they should have done a little more prep work on them.

when I do wheels like that, after I machine down the curbing marks, I prime them with a gray building primer, and then sand it down to fill in a lot of the pits and scratches. you can make the wheels look almost like new that way.
 
They are just following on 70's italian craftmanship. (Just a joke...)

They are beautiful wheels, and one of the best looking on a X 1/9.

Boy, I'd love a set of Daytonas. Real or fake. They look great. I put on the "Turbo" Cromodora 20 years ago no knowing anything about Cromodoras. Wish I knew about/appreciated the Daytonas then.
