The members here have been very helpful in getting the new X back on the street. However I still don't have the water hose situation resolved, as it stands now:

There are 5 apparent water connections for small diameter hoses, of which I have four hooked up:

#1 small hose coming off thermostat housing(?) #2 is off of the intake manifold, #3 is the hose right off the T close to the water pump. #4 & #5 are the two carb water choke connections

Since #1, #3, #4, and #5 all have connections, #2 feels very lonely. Where should it go? I hate to just plug it off. If you need more pics go to http://www.ss-e.com/pics/yellow_x you can go to the engine directory there and get a pretty comprehensive list of engine shots.

HELP!

[FONT=Trebuchet MS, Verdana, Tahoma, Arial]<!-- google_ad_section_start -->Hi Sebastian,

I can only tell you how it is set up on my '75 - all of your connections look correct, except that your #2, the nipple on the intake manifold, on my car is connected to a metal T on the thermostat housing, which also is connected to the hose that runs to the top of the coolant overflow bottle.

If you look at your picture here...

...and look at the red #1, the T on my '75 is screwed into the housing directly to the left of the #1. So then the hose going to the overflow tank top is coming off the big end of the T (i.e.: flowing straight through the T) and your #2 hose connects to the small leg of the T.

As to why your car has no T there, I have no idea. If anyone thinks my explanation is incorrect, please say so, because it would mean that my '75 is hosed too (no pun)
