injector cooling duct needed?

installing a uno turbo motor and the injector cooling pipe piece wont fit without modifying it because of the dog bone engine mount...

Is this part really necessary?



I would also have to install my old carb cooling fan to supply air to it, which will just add weight...

I believe YOU will have the answer shortly...

... after you leave the cooling pipe off... or modify it...

Same for the dogbone... only the dogbone is actually one of three engine mounts. If I were you I would NOT screw with tei part... and find and alternative for the other.

BTW... I have never seen one of those on a stock FI engine... but never saw a STOCK turbo engine either.

If there was ever a reason to remove the raintray on an X1/9 engine cover for better cooling... I think this would be one of the better ones!
