Of course just because they are made for racing doesn't mean you can't use them for street - it just means you'll be expecting them to take more environmental stresses and to last a lot longer. You would need to build the panels up some from the backsides, adding more material to strengthen them. I do know that Performace Fiberglass will actually do this for you by request, for more $...
To attach them seamlessly to a street car would definitely involve having to use fiberglass to smooth them into the existing bodywork. Then paint of course.
I like the rear panels, but am not too big on the front ones. If I ever build a bodykitted X1/9, I would like to use the rear panels from PF and then use the front panels from some other conversion. It would have to be something that would go well with that rear though.
I don't think the front panels from a Dallara or Eurosport kit would look right with those rears. Perhaps a stage 1 Eurosport facial treatment, with some custom made mild front fender flares? I don't know. It would definitely take some sketching and effort to be done tastefully imho, but it seems doable... maybe one day I'll get a strong X chassis with rusty body panels and try it... -Mac.

With a body kit you probably need wide wheels, at least 7", better 8" with wide tires with a lowered suspension. These won't fit without cutting the fender lips.

With a body kit you probably need wide wheels, at least 7", better 8" with wide tires with a lowered suspension. These won't fit without cutting the fender lips.
