Noise at full throttle was a gurgleing roar. Just replaced with a heavy silicone elbow, slightly larger radius, same ID. Noise is noticeably reduced, with less gurgle. Most interesting is a smoother idle and the near disapearance of a surge , or maybe shudder is a better label. Between 2k&3k rpm the car would lunge forward and back off at a frequency of about 2 cycles per second. Not hard, just enough to feel like an out of ballance wheel,or bad engine mounts, neither of which was the problem. I should mention I'm using a bayless street cam. Anyhow, my theory is that the thin factoy elbow was flexing under the suction pulses of the intake and making noise. The other changes, who knows? Any theories?<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
