Magnum Pi but with a better car

Laurie a nice fun fact to know, is that Magnum did drive a X1/9.
In episode #41 they swap Magnum's Ferrari for an X1/9.
According to magnum-mania.com they use in the scene with the exploding Ferrari a X1/9 instead.*

Really a burning X?

I did a screen cap of the REAR. Engine compartement cover dosen't look like an X, but they could have doctored the car to resemble the Ferrari?

The shape of the front dosen't look much like an X?

You guys convinced it is an X?
 
I had some discussion with David about this.

He mentioned some good points.
* door handle (308's don't have one) - the flames in the door itself are exactly X1/9 handle shaped.
* top of windscreen surround is not 308 shaped.
* the angle (inwards) of windscreen and the back of the door glass where it meets the targa bar. Glass is not flush there - sits inside like an X.

I agree that the front is changed.
Like something is added to it.
In the movie clip this is where the fire and flames start.

Welp... I ran the video and STOPPED it...

at several points.

The dashboard and cowl, especially flames coming out of the top speaker grill, doesn't appear to be an X1/9 at all...

(Still, lots of fun here, especially the Spanish translation...HA!)
