Moving to Austin TX - A couple of Q's

Since I was laid off in May, I've decided to move to a lower altitude (Austin) where there are more job opportunities in IT than there are here in Colorado Springs (and because I want to drive my car in warm weather all year long!).

Does anyone on the forum live there? Any recommendations on any good mechanics around the northwest side of town?

Also, I'm moving from a house to an apartment where I can get some covered parking but was thinking of getting a car cover. Are there any out there that fit our cars? Thanks.
