Our new X - a 1978 Series 1

Excellent!
But, yeah... steering wheel is on the wrong side...

Great find, hope I can find something like that in the States in a year!

Really?
I just got back from the first test drive in a 50,000 mile 1977 that is the most original 1.3 X I have ever driven. (And that's saying a lot because I became a Fiat service dealer a long time ago...)
Still got a few must do things to complete before I know what I got in it.
Stay tuned...

Thanks for the comments guys! We are gradually getting it running. Have put in a new water pump, thermostat and other parts like that. For some reason it had a non standard radiator that was acctually smaller than stock, so we found a spare radiator at home, had it flushed and put that it. The front to rear cooling pipes also need to ne redone, which dad is at home doing that now. Some fool had replaced them not long ago and had decided to run the new pipes down either side of the box section. This isn't desireable, but the bigger problem was that they fixed the pipes to the car with 4 rivets... Hmm needs to be fixed. We're aiming for a startup sometime in the next few days :)
