Pics needed fireball xr700/3000

I need pictures of the modified distributor for the Crane cam fireball rx700/3000. How the Optical pick-up is installed. I have read the direction over and over but just need a good pic to see how exactly it's setup. thanks in advance.

someone else can chime in who knows these Crane systems. I installed a few some years ago and never found them to be reliable. I have installed many of Pertronix's "Ignitor" points replacement systems on many a Porsche 911 or 914 with very good results:nod:, also proven on the track. The Pertronix works with a magnet instead of an optical unit. I looked at their website and they do list a unit for the X1/9. Sorry I can't really help you with the Crane.

I am looking to install this ignition as well. I have met people with it installed who like it a lot, and my mechanic also highly recommends it.

save yourself the headache, stay with the bosch setup from the 79 up x's i had the crane setup for like a year.. yea it worked, but it was annoying that the rev limiter was set at 7500, the bosch setup is nicer anyways, cheaper, and more available replacement parts

the slotted wheel is glued to the distributor shaft...
