Comparison between Sumitomo HTR 200 and Toyo Proxes RA-1

After it stops raining, it will be clean up time.

Ciao,

Nope, 185/60 X 13

Both sets are mounted on 5 1/2 inch rims. Both sets of rims are Cromodoras, too, come to think of it. But the Abarth rims are a lot neater, increase the track width by about 1 1/2 inches and are magnesium too.

I was surprised at the very different proportions of the tires. The Toyos have big square shoulders and flat across the tread. The Sumi's taper in a lot.

Ciao,

Toyo tires

I presume those Toyo's are from last year? I have been waiting for about 5 weeks for the "back-ordered" 185/60 Toyo's. Mine are going on 7 inch rims. I look forward to driving them. Can you advise on differences?

I think there has been a lot of talk of weak sidewalls on the Sumis.. I have a set on the 850...:hmm2:

A lot of it done by me.....

I was running the Sumitomos on my car at 31/33 F/R, whereas I run the Toyos at 29/30. A few extra pounds firms up the Sumi's nicely. Experiment at bit.
