When I was out there we discussed my occasional hard starting problem... what was the piece on the back of the block called? I went to clean it, and wanted to make sure that everything was hooked up right, as it looks different from yours, but I can't remember what it was called to look it up in the manual.
Any hints would be appreciated

The part we talked about is on the sparkplug side of the motor, below the #4 plug. It's fastened to the head with 2 6mm allen bolts (I think the allen size is 5mm). It has two hoses and one Bosch wire connector.
This part can cause poor idle at cold start, or as the car warms up... lots of spray carb cleaner followed by lots of WD-40 should clean and lube it. The opening should be big with the valve cold and shut with it open (freezer and 140 degree oven come in handy here)...

Mine is definately different than yours- anyone know if these are interchangeable with something from another car? Or did they change over the X1/9 FI run?
