Rear disc brakes on 128 are the bomb

True Classic
Just got done doing a rear disc brake conversion on my wagon using the MWB brackets. With the drum brakes I had more pedal travel than I wanted and a brake pedal that was not really as hard as I'm used to with my other Fiats. The disc conversion solved all that with a rock hard pedal that hardly moves before engaging the brakes.

Congrats Carl

Sounds like a big improvement.

When I got my 124 Special I was surprised to find it had 4 wheel disk brakes. I expected rear drums at least. Like you, I do prefer the disk setup.

Ebrake

I used a cable off a 124 spider. Had to make two simple mods, Had to put a sleeve on the hand brake threaded rod as I ran out of threads to adjust the cable and had to enlarge the holes that the cable outer sheath locks into. That's it.

I'm glad you finally gave in!

Well worth it in performance and ease of maintenance!

Brakes

Let's just say I hate drum brakes and the conversion brackets make this an easy mod. I have to say, this car is keeping it's end of the bargain by making many trips to Home Depot.....this is a wagon after all.
