Reinstalling the head

I am getting close to the point of reinstalling the head on my x1/9. Other than following the manual are there any things I need to do, look for, not do, think about?

My car is an 86 Bertone with stock engine, head and parts.. The head was just redone by Midwest-Bayless and has the cam, cam-box etc attached and correctly set. I have a set of the wacky wrenches so I can reach the bolts.

The surface of the head is clean and I am in the process of cleaning the last bit of residue on the block. I am using a new gasket along with all new bolts.

Since there have been several fastening methods (studs, nonstretch bolts and stretch bolts of differing diameters and head sizes, 10 vs 14, etc), perhaps it would be helpful if you tell us what you have.
 
I am also reminded of a thread that talked about locator pin sizes....no personal experience with this bit, just a memory to share
