Rock technology

Back in the 60's (and may be today too) street hot rodders used to rock their cars up and down while cursing main street on Friday night.
I wonder if anyone remembers how did they do this? I may have to use this tech for my X. Remember my "great architect"?

Air Shocks.

Air shock abzorbers that required a small air compressor and a valve with a selector for front, rear or both. The cars then had coil or leave springs with independant shocks on all 4 corners. This was an easy way to lift the car for better clearance for oversized tires that were not just taller but wider.

Herzel... its a whole different league nowadays...

Herzel... Ya know I don't mid answering your questions but you can get some IMMEDIATE answers by just GOOGLING some keywords, like "lowrider jump"...

Here's an even better example... (HA!)

Or "drifting cars"...

Both of which I kinda consider "art forms" and counter just about everything we usually want our cars to do! HA!

Hope you are well!

More then enough

Whats with you Yankees?
For every little question I ask you got a whole industry going, competitions and trophies.
I never knew, or did I forget...
Thanks for steering me in that direction, lots of food for thoughts.
I am well' Tony, how is it by you?

There are tons of companies making 'air ride' kits today, and quite a few make 'air struts' since a majority of the small cars have them on at least one end of the vehicle.

Basic kits probably suck, but I know there are some high end, complete kits that do things like self level, etc, and even offer IMPROVED handling! A basic kit won't do that... in a long hard turn, air can leak thru the lines from the heavily loaded outside bag to the lighter loaded inside bag making the car list over badly, like a ship! Expenisve kits cover those problems with more solenoids, valves, etc... I guess they even have ride height sensors of some sort.

Both of these cars use struts if I'm right.
