From the battery, run the wire behind the washer bottle to the grommet that has the brake lines. You will need to remove the plastic grill plate that runs between the hood and the cowl... be careful, there are 2 screws underneath that are tough to get at (I wouldn't even bother to replace them when you are done...).
From there, you can access the speedo cable grommet. You can either pull the grommet out and replace it later (which can be a pain) or use a piece of stiff wire (ie a coathanger) to tape the wires to and push them through.
Now the wires are up behind the dash... if you have smaller hands (I don't, but my GF does!
you can reach the wire without needing to remove the instrument panel.
When you bring the wires in, try to keep them away from the steering linkage, as they might get caught up.

The easiest and cleanest routing is to drill a hole in the bulkhead right beside the battery and just below the point where the battery cable passes through the bulkhead.
This will allow you to easily run the wires right into the passenger footwell for easy access. Also its covered by the battery box and because it is right beside the battery cable, it doesn't look out of place anyway. And, because you don't have to go through the wiper bay, the passage isn't open to the outside (remember the trunk is sealed).
I drilled a hole large enough for the wire bundle and used a rubber grommet to prevent the wire from chafing. Just be sure and take a peek from inside the footwell before you drill. You wouldn't want to drill into anything important under there.

[FONT=Trebuchet MS, Verdana, Tahoma, Arial]<!-- google_ad_section_start -->When I put the fuel injection in my cars, I had to run a complete wiring harness to, among other places, the battery. The easiest and cleanest routing is to drill a hole in the bulkhead right beside the battery and just below the point where the battery cable passes through the bulkhead.
This will allow you to easily run the wires right into the passenger footwell for easy access. Also its covered by the battery box and because it is right beside the battery cable, it doesn't look out of place anyway. And, because you don't have to go through the wiper bay, the passage isn't open to the outside (remember the trunk is sealed).
I drilled a hole large enough for the wire bundle and used a rubber grommet to prevent the wire from chafing. Just be sure and take a peek from inside the footwell before you drill. You wouldn't want to drill into anything important under there.

However, I didn't recommend that method for the simple reason that there is a lot of "stuff" that runs on that side of the passenger compartment, so it is a lot easier to damage your existing wiring, etc...
