Saratog Top construction using slip forming idea?

Just throwing out this idea as I finally remember this link of how a small shop can produce inexpensive canopies for home built aircraft using a simple box oven, a female mold, and vacuum to draw the sheet of acrylic into the cavity.

Would this work for Saratoga top replicas?

or maybe this won't work because an aircaft canopy is deeper in the middle, while the Saratoga top is flat in the middle and curved at the edges.
