SoCal X events

True Classic
So I'm hearing the next SoCal X event is Best of France and Italy on November 7th?
... and I know I've been off the board for too long again. Hope everyone is well! :)

shortly after BFI is the So Cal Turkey Trot, the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
We're trying to get an evening beach run set up in September

BFI is a BFD

Yippie. :italia: I have been waiting for this event forever. http://www.franceanditaly.com/

I have had my X for over 6 months now.
The only other one I have even seen since then is this sun bleached example I spotted at random.
(I left a note but never got a call.)

I am sure The Best of France and Italy will have some more interesting cars for me to drool over.

Well, hopefully I can finally make it to BFI, and the other event too. In case I don't have my X1/9 up and running by then, I'll find some other way to get there -- like my Swedish daily driver. :D

Attendance numbers

Last year's show had 147 payed Fiat family entrants--notice how far down the rows went? Almost to the third tree from the street (my unscientific way of gauging show size). I never actually got around to a real head count. I'm expecting that number should increase this year.

That is awesome to hear. Per my thread about importing 25+ year old cars (http://xwebforums.com/forum/index.php?threads/9780/), are you all seeing much of this? People importing early to mid 80s Fiats, Lancias, etc?

Just found a very nice 1985 Lancia Prisma 1.6L 5-speed with 40,000 km for sale in Italy.

This was basically the Delta with a boot. Would be another interesting little car to have in the US, for sure.
