Speedo conversion Question.

I plan to install an early gauge set ( clockwise tach and cleaner gauge ) What is involved in putting an early Speedo in a late car? Early has nut with threads on speedo and the late car has the snap on ferrule. I have not pulled apart yet but have read some of the posts.

when Ive done this n the past iircc I simply removed the tach and installed the one I wanted. (in this case a counter clock tach) OR possibly I replaced the the entire gauge binocual with spare I had cant remember

You can put the snap on cable on a threaded head, but you cannot put a threaded cable on a snap on head...
