well, finally got tired of my previous paint job.

i had painted this car originally black with a blue pearl over it and when the hood became damaged, I couldn't match it. Soo one night after a few beers, I did this to cover the damage, guess I should have looked at a few hot rod magazines first- lol. getting ready to turn 44 this year, and just couldn't stand it any more, out came the 40 grit sander, Paint was so thick, had to got to aircraft remover( 2-3 coats), and a razor scraper
here's the progress so far, still got the doors, the targa and the windscreen frame, good news is very little rust under windshield

Just about..

to do that to mine as well. Except for the fact that I'm mortified to see the cost of a good paint job today:shock2: The fact that I absolutely love these cars:italia:, and can't buy a new one, and the fact that mine has been so reliable, makes me want to make the car as new again.

i was a mustang guy before i got mine and ford has some great factory colors, also viper's blue is supposedly fairly cheap and looks great imo
some awesome ford colors
mystichrome (expensive but cool)
kona (new so probably expensive)
competition orange
dark shadow gray
some deep blacks
screaming yellow
torch red
sonic blue (my favorite!!!)

im seriously thinking of painting mine sonic blue
