Hi folks. Working on getting the 87 X together
again. It arrived with a cardboard box full of
tranny guts...
Anyway, long story short - it's been a while since
I have done one of these installs. I was just
a little unsure about the order that things go in.
I have a memory of having to pull something back out
to put in one of those sheetmetal shields...
Here's my though on the approach.
Upper sheet metal on block
Flywheel (thank you PBS)
Clutch
Tranny install & bolt in
< I got this far last night.>
Lower sheet metal guard (flywheel cover)
front-rear x-member
secure engine mount
Then just clutch hydaulics & shift linkage.
Any tips/tricks on the x-member and lower
shield ? Am I on the right track ?
Had to pull the clutch & flywheel last night
when I remebered about the upper sheet metal
shield...
