The "moment" passed. But this is the sort of mod that has some appeal in general because it can be somewhat stealth in its application. Unfortunately there are usually unforeseen mods that need to happen to make good use of these things! I have spent a lifetime swapping in a nice four barrel here or there and ending up just hurting drivability in the end. Yep, a survivor vehicle can be fun in its own right.
