(740 miles plus some drivin' around while there) in 3 days. Kept the top off the whole time. Ran a little hot over the Grapevine, but other than that, like a scalded cat. 80 to 85 almost all of the way. Color me... sunburned (actually frazzled), but even more of an X fan. Tony, would've called to see if you wanted to grab a cup-a-java, but figured you wouldn't have appreciated the times i was racing by. <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

But with the top off, beautiful weather, portable CD player (haven't put a stereo or speakers in yet), headset on, and a Little Feat boxed set playing, I was definitely in a good space! You're right about HWY1, probably any stretch of it. Drove my '74 from Newport Beach to Monterey on our honeymoon on 1 and that's one of the best little car trips we've ever taken. Will hopefully someday drive it north through Oregon & Washington. <!-- google_ad_section_end -->
