Took the instrument pod out and center console on my 1981. Found these wires behind the center console towards the left. Not sure what they are meant to attach to:

Found this plug - not sure where it goes

Looks like someone cut the green wire, then re-joined it back together behind the instrument pod. Should I just cut and solder the green wire back into one?

Some answers, unverified

These wires look to belong to your center console Rheostat to control your console light brightness.

This plug looks to go to your O2 timer, located in your center console. UNVERIFIED.

Re-splice this wire back together. Solder and use heat shrink tubing if available to you, otherwise use those sealed wire splice unions.

Good luck!

Not sure about that, my O2 sensor mileage counter box has a 6 position connector with 5 position filled.
