wiring in a digital oil pressure gauge

AngleT

Always more tuning to do
I got an AEM 30-4401 oil pressure gauge and the wiring harness that came with it is WAY too short for the engine being in the rear. Do you think it would be fine to cut the wires and solder in an extension, or are the wiring harness calibrated for the gauge? I've called AEM a couple of times, but haven't talked to anyone yet. Just thought I'd put the question out there. I'll report back with what AEM tells me whenever I actually talk to someone.

AEM's response

They said splicing in an extension wouldn't be a problem, as long as it was done cleanly. The only one that splicing in an extension would NOT be recommended would be the O2 gauge. Luckily that cable was long enough, but just barely. I'll post pics after I'm done.
