NLN- New Uno Turbo Injectors Mk1

UPDATE- No Longer Needed - I SCORED 4 NOS injectors! woo! 2 different auctions, hopefully they're not all dried up, but I now have what I was looking for (from ebay France and Italy).

I also have a few used ones..

Hi all,

I'm searching for a new set of Uno Turbo Injectors from a Mk1 - barb type hose fitting.

I have a set that came with my motor, but I'd prefer to start things out with a new set instead of rebuilding them.

Anywhere in the world is fine - thanks!! (I've been searching ebay, no luck yet)

Myron,
what is different about these as compare to 1500 FI ones? I guess flow. Do you have a Bosch part number?

Hi Arthur,

Yes, the Uno Turbo injectors are different from the regular F.I. AFAIK, the Uno injectors are 200cc.

I believe the Bosch p/n is B0280150708

I haven't had luck with reliability of rebuilt injectors, so I want to start the engine off with a brand new set.

Thanks!

try fiveomotorsports

http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/import-high-performance-fuel-injectors/fiat
They don't list any direct replacements, but the have : Fiat Import High Performance Fuel Injectors (4) with barbed end in flow ranges from 380 to 1600 cc/min in 2.5 to 3.2 ohms.
Talk to Bruce Holt at 562.867.4999 or 562.394.7218 and I am sure he will be able to find you a solution.

Edit: here is a handy Bosch injector database:

Thanks Arthur!

I'll check it out. The boost will be turned up a bit, and I'll be using a rising rate fuel pressure regulator.

BTW: I like your car collection. I've always liked the '88 M5 and the E30 is awesome..

Myron,

a quick google

P/n 0280150708 cc/min at 3 bar 155 resistance in ohms 15.9

you might find this helpful as well...not for the injectors though

Thanks Steve,

I've seen a few different charts with slightly different flow rates, but that may be at different pressures. I'll figure that out eventually..

I did find new injectors, but they're kind of pricey - but hey, if I want new injectors, then I'm gonna need to pay.

Works out to almost $95 USD each.. which compared to a Ferrari 355 injector is fairly cheap.

Oh, and I bought a nice hardcover Haynes Uno manual which will come in very handy.

Cheers!

Those flow figures and test pressures are from Bosch, by their standard testing method with the correct fluid viscosity... so that's the 'correct' number AFAIK, You should check your references.

Are you sure you need a 200cc injector? is 30% more fueling what you want??

Hi Steve,

I'm after the stock injector, but new. I will run a tad more boost, but the stock injector should be fine with that. I have a rising rate fuel pressure regulator, and a stock one as well. I'll start with stock everything, get it relaible and then play from there. My car is originally fuel injected which helps a bit.

This project is still in the early stages, even though I've had the engine since 2005 or so!!

Finding a compatible injector could work - maybe I need to hang out in the Uno Turbo forums and see what pops up!

:)

Try at turbo124, there are a few guys there that play unoT, a couple of guys from NZ come to mind (SteveNZ)... one even works all day in fuel injection maintenance and is very knowledgeable (low131) and will undoubtedly be able to give you a heads up...based on real tech knowledge (and experience) rather than hear say.
