The cam box will work I think (I am doing the exact opposite) but the cover itself might be different due to linkage, etc.

I have the correct valve cover for the dual 40's
Our car looks like a similar engine build to the one in your signature
our big valve head has 39.5mm intakes
What did you come up with on carb jetting and choke size?
I have 32 chokes now but I'm worried about low end and thinking 30's would be better.

I am not at the tuning phase (as I had removed/rebuilt the engine and its on the stand) - here are how my carbs are setup now:
Jet and chokes
Main Venturis: 32
Aux Venturis: 4.5
Idle jet:55
Main Jet:130
Air Adjustor jet:190
emulsifier tube: f24
I will provide some feedback when I get this baby running. I plan to tune the cam timing best I can based on the technical info I have for my decked head/cam. I will then be heading to Cameron Park to visit my brothers racing dyno for some tuning. I hope to have some helpful info to share at that time.
