Yugo 5 speed

So is a yugo 5 speed a bolt in for an X? Figuring the car is already a 5 speed (I know if its a 4 i need starter flywheel axles etc etc)

My car is a 4 speed, and I know what I need to change, but i have a lead on a yugo with a 5 speed, so if i grab the clutch flywheel starter and trans its all good to go?

Not a bolt-on

The shift rod on the Yugo (and 128, Ritmo/Strada etc.) comes out at the back of the transmission. For the X1/9, it needs to come out on the front side.

I bet there are a couple of people who would be thrilled to trade you a good working x 5 speed for your Yugo one.

Ya thought bout the shift rod after the fact lol...either way it was a 4 speed not a 5...oh well
