Yugo head on a 1500

I drilled out and helicoiled a couple of broken studs on my 1500 FI. But one of the helicoils keeps stripping out.

My friend has a Yugo head I can get for nearly free. How much will this bump up my compression. I'd actually rather not raise compression, but i can live with it (Megasquirt 2 controlling spark and fuel)

I'm aware of the worse flow through the head and smaller valves, but I need to get rid of the exhaust leak in the head before I put the turbo on.

All that said, anyone know how high the Yugo head brings up the compression on a 1500?

i seem to remember something around 8.9 or 9.0 to 1 is the end result, tho my memory is admittedly dim.

i did that swap quite a few years ago and the lower end revs are helped. tends to run out of breath around 6,000 rpm if I recall.

yugo head

the '78 I have with a 1500 installed is 10:1 with a Yugo head. I don't know how much was shaved (previous owner).
