Wayne Wright's 6cyl X for sale

I believe this car showed up to an Oregon event. I was very impressed. At first glance it looked stock, but I remember the rear wheels gave it away.

My best to Mike, he's a great guy.

pdxgeo,
Are you selling the car or is Mike? I've got a couple of questions, do you know what the corner weights are for the car? Is it driveable now?
Mike Hynes

I will speak to Mike and maybe go over to get some current pics and even a video for any interested parties.

Im trying to arrange a visit this weekend where I will charge the battery and start the car. Mike Hynes, Mike said he doesn't know what the corner weights are. The car should be drivable yes I will make a video and send it to you.

Hi, I’m very interested in this car and would like to make an offer. How do you go about doing that on here?

I'm so sorry to hear Mike M passed away. He was the source of my '71 124BC forever car. This week I sent Mike an update on my adding AC to the Coupe, I'll have to wait to tell him now. His close friend Paul who owned my car was terminally ill and only several months ago chose "death with Dignity" which is available in Oregon. Paul was unable to speak and communicated by computer eye tracker. Mike arranged photographs, banking, sent paperwork, did everything for both Paul and me. I'm glad now that I sent several "Harry and David" gift packs as thanks for a job well done. I suspect Paul's passing affected Mike also.
RIP Mike

Yes, Mike was pretty devastated by Paul's terrible illness and passing. Congratulations on buying Paul's coupe, it was the finest example I have ever seen and was certainly his pride and joy.

I remember Mike and his V6 X from way back in the early SeattleX1/9 days. Sad to hear of his passing.

Didn't he also end up with Mark Plaia's verde chiaro X that may have been K20 swapped? What ever happened to that car?

Both the blue X (Wayne's creation) and Blackie the black X are available for sale.
George is likely handling the blueX, as per this post.

Blackie has been on jack stands in the lower level of the house for perhaps five years. I remember Mike saying that he was going to swap motors due to some engine smoke. There is a fresh 1500 on an engine stand in the garage. We all know there is not one spot of rust in the body, as per Mike's tireless efforts to seek and kill the tinworm.
Perhaps a great project for someone ready to oversee the mechanical swap?
--------------------------------------

There will be an informal celebration and storytelling session on Saturday June 25th at his house. Starts at 1pm, goes until the last person leaves. Marc Mittelstead will be there, and would love to hear your stories about Mike.

16800 SE Rock Creek Court, Clackamas, 97015
1pm until the door closes.

When you arrive, you will be given a Coors because Mike said "If it ain't Coors, it ain't ****!"
If you choose to drink it, or pour it out on the driveway as a tribute to Mike, that is your choice.

In the house and garage, we will be telling stories of Mike.

Just show up, no need to RSVP. If we need to buy more Coors, then Fred Meyer is just down the street.

If there are any remaining Fiat parts, literature, or other treasures, you will be invited to take them home with you. Mike would have wanted them to go to good homes.

There may still be a few items for sale:
The famous black X1/9, still stored in the lower level. Comes with a spare motor on a stand in the garage.
The blue X1/9 with the V6 transplant by Wayne. George Ramos is working on getting it running, so it may or may not be available.
Pair of tan Corbeau seats, with NOS caramel seat covers.
If you are interested in these items, please let me know immediately via phone at 503-703-0618.
