As I'm about to add various circuit improvements (relays, BWM, uncovering the dash backlight switch & hazard switch previously buried behind a custom center console by the PO, reviving some switch backlighting, etc.) on my 1979 X1/9, I've found myself slightly baffled by the light switch...
