10 or 14 bolt head

So looking at the head on my 87 I am only finding 10 bolts (not 14 like I thought there would be) - is this possible or am I missing the other four somewhere? I see 5 in front and 5 in back.

The other 4 are smaller...

and are down by the spark plugs. Although it's possible that your 86 was a 10-bolt (or the engine has been swapped at some point?). I think 85 or 86 was the "cutover year" but I might be wrong about that.

I can take some pix of my 14-bolt to identify their exact location if you need.
