Remember this car?

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Since the last time I tried to sell it on ebay, and failed, I have done what it seems every interested person asked. It now has all of the smog equipment installed, passed smog, and I just got back from DMV about an hour ago with current California plates.

They tell me that in 2-4 weeks I will have the paperwork in hand.
At that time I will activly try to sell it again.

If you want to be near or at the top of the list, let me know.
Car is in Santa Cruz California. It still has just under 50,000 miles, except for now I am going to start driving it! That's going to change the mileage.

Chris can you load high resolution photos so those of us with 17 inch monitors dont have to use a Magnifying glass to see that beautiful leather??? Thanks. JJ:)

I was really wondering if those were factory seats. They look great!

Who knows, after driving it, you might think twice about selling it!

I have seen this car

in person at the Italian Cars & Motorcycle meet in Alameda and the pics don't do it justice. A true time-capsule! :)

Leather? Fraid not...
That is the original vinyl stuff. It's very nice when it's still in as new condition!
I do have some high resolution shots, exactly what do you want to see?

Kelly, I have more X1/9s that I care to count. Yes, I'll drive it, but it is for sale. I have my own X in the works that if I can clear the warehouse of all of these others I might be able to get it out! Not to say there is anything wrong with any of my "for sale" cars, they are all just in my care taking until the right owner comes along.

Take the high res pics and upload them on photo bucket.com. Photobucket will re-size them to the appropriate web format so that the picture is bigger than a Cracker... and they will look like this when done.

Then select the photos you want and at the bottom of the page drop down box and click ( generate link code )

then it gives you the internet forum option and copy those links and paste them into this thread. The pictures are worth a thousand words but small pics are worth about 10 words... Here are some photos I took of the Andy Warhal exhibit in Los Angeles 2 years ago...

Thanks for the suggestion about photo sharing. Unfortunately I had an (now ex) employee that we discovered was spending all day on photobucket & similar sites, and they are now 100% blocked on my system.
Productivity went up, pictures of porn on his work station computer disappeared. But alas, even the state unemployment board feels dismissing an employee for this is still a no no and it costs the employer $$$.
It's cheaper to block everything & hope to frustrate the hell out of an unwanted employee. Then he quits.
Also puts me into a spot where you want stuff I can only email to you, but not post as you suggest. And I can't see your Andy Warhal pictures either!

Tell me exactly what you want to see with a high resolution shot. If I have it I will send it as I paid a professional to take some high resolution shots of this car the last time it seemed the interested buyer was going to bid on ebay. If I don't have what you want to see already shot, I'll use my best camera to shoot it.

Your hired professional can host those photos on his own server and post pics or give them to you. Here is the challenge. Your buyer of your car is not someone you know and is not someone that is going to give you his email address. 99 percent of the time its an emotional purchase because the pictures turned that person from a looker to a dreamer to a buyer. These basic emotions are what sell cars not logic and not " Let me know what you want and I will email it" The reason is the buyer still does not know they want your car yet and you dont know what photo will be the emotional trigger. Just like when your dream girl became your dream girl. It just happened. You didnt ask her to flip her hair. She just did it and you were hooked...:laugh:

a pro

He did a good job with that ugly thing. Probably a hoot to drive though. I've seen a few in the flesh and to me they just don't have nice proportions. Practical?
