Hello Everyone! I’m new here. I was directed to xweb forum from marketplace as I’m selling my 1985 X1/9 1500 project car.
It runs well and drives, however I haven’t driven it much since I bought it. It is rust free and has new paint job. Both rear fender needs to be repainted due to imperfections under the new paint. I could do it myself, but I don’t have the place and the time to do it anymore.
The car starts and runs well. It has coolant leak from the underbody coolant pipes. The interior needs some work. The dashboard has some cracks and the seats need to be re-upholstered.
It had been sitting for about 8 years before I bought it. It was not running due to fuel injector and clutch issues.
What has been done so far: rebuilt brake calipers, new pads, new master cylinder, new clutch slave cylinder, rebuilt injectors and rail, new fuel filter, oil and oil filter, air filter, spark plugs, new tires, redone wheels.
My plan was to fully rebuild it and preserve it for my family and kids. Now priorities have changed.
Good choice for someone who is willing to spend some money and time to finish this piece of history and put it back on the roads.
About the price…
I bought it 2 years ago for $3000. I have spent around $2000 on parts. So I would like to get $5000 for her. I’m not willing to make any profit out of the sale as I know it still needs some work.
I would be very happy if she goes to someone who values her and gives her the future she deserves.
