40th Anniversary Mitty at Road Atlanta

RXEFP19

Daily Driver
Hello, they are going to be a Fiat/Bertone at the 40th Mitty Vintage race at Road Atlanta in April. We are pulling the Bertone FP #19 X1/9 back onto race track again, after a three year break. We have a lot of work and updates to get ready by then, so the next few weeks will be very busy. We would love to have all the Fiat / X1/9 lovers come down and say hi and talk Fiat. They are just a hand full on Fiat steal Road racing, so come out to watch, talk and maybe help out depending on the weekend. Updates to come as it gets closer.

Paul,
Do you know of a place to get the windscreen you used on the car? I am putting together a HP car and haven't found a source for it for a low front hoop car.
Thanks,
Sam

Hello Paul, wish you was going too, it would be like the old runoff days. It's less than a week to go, we are making new rotors, mounting new tires and going over everything else .

Sam - My race car uses a flat sheet of plexiglas cut to fit a frame that's welded to the roll cage. You can see how it fits in this image: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c369/pstoltze/Mobile Uploads/20150329_115436.jpg. You should be able to find the material at an industrial plastics supplier in your area. I bought mine while I lived in Austin at Regal Plastics: http://www.regal-plastics.com/plexiglas-mc.html.
