'85 X Cap, Rotor Substitution

Anybody know cap/rotor combo from other vehicles that will work on an
'85 Bertone X? Any cheaper, or more readily available? Thanks.

The cap seems to be unique to X1/9, Strada

That Rotor was used on these cars:

AUDI 100 SERIES LS (1975 - 1977)
AUDI 4000 1980
AUDI 5000 (1978 - 1980)
AUDI 5000 S (1979 - 1980)
AUDI FOX (1974 - 1979)
BMW 2002 (1975 - 1976)
BMW 320I (1977 - 1979)
FIAT X-1/9 (1980 - 1988)
MERCEDES-BENZ 220 1973
 
Charles... I don't rmember the caps and rotors being...

... too expensive. Have you tried our Vendor in Santa Cruz? (Oberts?)

Secondly... I believe the Bosch dizzy was used in other vehicles and I thought VW was another source. Sorry I can't be of further help.
 
VW Cap

If you don't mind used the Straight-up cap. the one from a VW bug will work. they even come in different colors.

rotors

good information...

Anybody find a rotor yet (for the bosch) that doesn't have the resistor epoxied into the arm?

There was an old discussion about this, and I recall the concensus then was to dremel out the resistor and solder in a solid copper bit for those who didn't like the resistor.

I've had a couple of the resistor type rotors burn out, probably from bed wires. I keep one of 'em on the shop "wall-o-shame" (too many of my own car's parts reside there.....)
