anti-chatter springs/clips

anti-chatter springs/clips on brake pads, the front brakes have them but the rear don't -should they have?

These are the little silver clips which attach to the brake pads.

Also is it ok to put copper slip grease on the end of the pad (the metal bit not the meat) to allow it to move more easily along the slider.

I'm not positive... but I can't remember there NOT being any anti-chatter springs!

Give Matt a shout at Midwest Bayless as I believe he sells the springs... and as for the copper grease... I have NO idea. I always use some of the stuff that usually comes with the pads, but I have NO idea what it is! Another question for Matt... but I don't see how it would hurt anything, just may not HELP after it gets hot.
