if you are mentally prepared and expect a hard job, it's not so bad.
Tips:
* Replace both M/Cs while you are in there.
* Remove driver's seat and steering column.
* Put plenty of padding on top of rocker and on the floor next to car for you knees and a sheet plastic under the pedals to catch fluid.
* Undo the remaining 2 13mm nuts that hold the pedal box in, unscrew supply hoses from reservoirs and let drain into pot. Then use 10mm flare nut wrench to undo metal brake lines, clutch line nut is bigger (12mm?).
* Now you can remove the whole pedal box and put it on the bench.
* Remove m/c's, then inspect the holes in the pushrods (and the nubs on the pedals that engage them) for wear and elongation. If they are worn, you'll have to fix this. New pushrods aren't available AFAIK, but I could be wrong.
* If the pedals and box are rusty, you may want to sandblast and paint them.
* New M/Cs don't have dust boots (why not?!!!), I had them because I had rebuild kits too (the one for the clutch was way too small and tore).
* Reassemble pedal box, lubing the pushrod holes.
* My biggest problem in reinstalling was that the reservoir lines appeared to be too short. It turned out they can be stretched a little to install them. You may want to let new fluid from the reservoir dribble out the hoses so that they are full of fluid -> easier bleeding.
* I used Speedbleeders for the first time and highly recommend them (clutch too). Also, one of those bottles that you stand on your reservoir filler upside down that automatically refills it would be great.
* I had a leak. The flare nut of the metal line to the rear brakes would bottom out in the hole of the new m/c before pushing the flare down tight. I filed the nut a little more pointed at the end and all was well. Very annoying though.
Don't put yourself on a schedule. If for instance it turns out that your pushrods are worn, you will have to figure out how to fix this and the job will take much longer.

If this is allowed to happen without eventually cleaning them up, they will eventually chew themselves to bits, and then one day you hit the pedal and `pop' - there went the rod!
Definitely a good idea to clean those up! -Mac.

If this is allowed to happen without eventually cleaning them up, they will eventually chew themselves to bits, and then one day you hit the pedal and `pop' - there went the rod!
