Does anyone know this car and where these rear bumper blocks are from ? I'd love to do this mod on my own X.

While you're talking to him could you ask him what size 14x? wheels he is running in the rear and what offset + or -

Thanks,

I personally don't like the total bumperless look

I kept my holes open so i could eventually stick something in them, but it had to be tasteful and to not stick out far from the body.

Look like Euro rear blocks

Without the blade bumpers. I still have mine I didn't use when I mounted just the Euro blade bumpers. I'll post pictures when I get home, but it would have to be a custom install/modification of the blocks.

It may be something like these modified....

I found these on Ebay NOS for a Fiat 850 Spider but I could see how these may be modified to attach to the bumper holes possibly mounted to the stock bumper shocks ?

Definitely Euro rear blocks

Here's a link to the photos of my Euro bumpers and blocks when they arrived. http://www.xwebforums.com/forum/index.php?posts/58411#post58411
You can see the rear blocks on the top of the first photo. These were fiberglass reproductions, so I had to fabricate the attachment system with fiberglass and PVC. It really wouldn't be too hard and I might even try it on the rear Euro blocks I didn't use when I get home.

Yes they are...

....euro rear bumper blocks. Stock on euro 73-78 x1/9s.

They are available seperately from the bumper blades.

Go to Ebay germany - in the search window type in "Fiat X1/9 bumper" and they will come right up. If I was smarter I would post a link! I'm sure someone else out there can do this.

He may have trimmed them a little - hard to tell from the photo. The rear bumper block is the one second from the left in the Ebay photo.

They are also available from places in Italy and elsewhere in Europe. Some will sell you only fronts or rears. A little cheaper than the German vendor. Let me know and I can lead you to them.

As you can see from the Ebay photo, they should be easy to bolt to a custom bracket.

Hope this helps. Cheers, Doug

Yup you beat me to it Doug...

Although they could be a Fiberglass type like the ones from Mark at Cascu.

I used these from this vendor with my real Euro bumper conversion

You can fab them on with compressed stock shocks most likely or like Ricardo did with steel tubing :)
