I bought a cheap 75 Beta Coupe in November and I’m finally jumping into it …… the body is pretty bad. My question is if I decide to part it out can I keep the motor as a spare for my 77 Scorpion? I realize one is FWD and the other RWD but is it the same block?

I used to have both in the 1980s. I always thought even the transmission was the same.

Diiferent: oil pans, oil pickup, distributor locations. Block May need minor modifications to be fitted to the scorpion mounts but many have done them.

More like, you need to fab a motor mount to work in the Scorpion chassis, since the block mounting points are different. No need to actually modify the block itself.

My Montecarlo has a 2.0 with fuel injection from a 1991 coup. It was built by Mark Rawlings. He is on this forum.
He also wrote an article about 20 to 30 years ago in the Lancia magazine on the conversion. here is an article from European car about some of the cars he had built. sorry the pages are out of order. The black one is mine.
