BFI... What a day...
This was the ENTIRE show at 0630 this morning... Yep... that's rain and MUD... and it STORMED all day Saturday with a forecast to do the same today. Around 0800 a hole opened up over Woodley Park and it was beautiful for the remainder of the day.
Here's a shot of a 695cc Abarth with one DCOE 45 Weber. The carb is as big as the engine!
A magnificent FIAT JOLLY and a Multipla next to it... Justin from "Matchbox" brought them...
And one of his 500s...
An Isetta like no other...
This Scorp's engine bay looked awesome...
There were FOUR of these Iso-whatevers with Corvette Drivetrains... but this one in RED really popped! The FOUR Webers really transform this American SBC into a cultural Euro-car... almost!
For Rossofini... a Citroen Panel I know he'd love...
A great looking Alfa racer... the engine was actually tilted a bit to clear the webers on the right side...
A small line up before we left... Stockton Brad is in Mark Plaia's old ride and that's Dan Yee next to his Black and Silver Ride... also down from the Bay Area.
Most importantly... Ricardo, Rudy, Brad, JJ, Rodney, Reyy, Eli, Alvon, Talon, Mark, Will (apec), Gilles, Alpert, Dan (Minnesota!) Cesare, Dan Yee, Ron, Chris, Mo, Ed and Barbara De Carbo... and their families were wonderful to meet and see again. (Hope I didn't forget anyone...)
Almost as important... Rudy's Saugage and Bell Pepper Sandwiches with Chips and Drinks were the ENVY of all those within BBQ-ing distance around us.
We were certainly all blessed today with good weather, good friends, good food and drink, and GREAT cars!
